A self-taught artist, Nigel Humphries was born in Stoke-on-Trent. Art has always informed his life and his unique style is the product of years spent studying a variety of work including that of the great masters, popular illustrators and leading contemporary artists. As a child, Nigel loved to draw animals, monsters and caricatures. He then discovered a passion for nostalgia which still shines through in his paintings today.
