We are delighted to show you the latest works from our best selling artists. Some fantastic new pieces from Doug Hyde with his new mode of transport in 'The Modfather' and a lovely set of four prints of the Seasons Smiles. Keith Proctor has also released, already popular new images. Three images are finished with hand embellishment on canvas, a fantastic use of colour which comes out perfectly on these new limited edition canvases.

We are also delighted to share a new artist who has joined the portfolio - Craig Davison. Davison perfectly captures the essence of youth, what it means to be a child swept away on a wave of imagination. This collection is inspired by childhood adventures of caped crusaders, dynamic duos and heroes on horseback.

He uses shadows in the background of his pieces to portray the hero in the fantasy world created by the child in question, from Batman to Charlie’s Angels and the Magnificent Seven; there is something for everyone in this unique collection. Click here to buy his new collection.

First phase of new artwork for Spring 2011

A quick preview of the first phase of stunning new collections of artworks available in stock soon. A small selection of artists have been chosen for immediate release of new prints this Spring including Paul Kenton, Sarah Graham, Neil Dawson, Kim Haskins and Keith Proctor.

Paul Kenton and Sarah Graham has once again wowed us with three superb new editions each. Paul's new cityscape canvases of London, Paris and New York depicts the beauty and mood of each city with great movement and hints of colour, a superb release. Sarah Graham has also released some of her most scrumptious work yet. Two new sweetie related canvas prints Candy Canes and Saucy Sundae look just good enough to eat straight off the canvas!

Another amazing talent is Keith Proctor, 3 new limited edition canvas prints with fantastic use of colour and flair, these beautiful prints are hand embellished to enhance the piece. The contrast in detail from the foreground and background loosely painted and the incredible detail on the children almost bring these prints to life.

We've taken a selection of the most popular artists this year... they are:

Todd White

Todd White's work has caught the imagination of art collectors around the world in addition to many Hollywood celebrities, members of the Rich List and ambassadors of the high life. At face value, the pieces appear as simple caricature. Contorted body shapes and exaggerated expressions expose a past in cartooning and animation; the perfect place to develop the skills to understand character from a simple look, or simulate body language with utmost economy.

Sarah Jane Szikora

Coming from a large family Sarah Jane Szikora was constantly looking for ways to amuse herself and soon discovered that drawing and painting were by far her favourite. She enjoyed art and music classes, so it was natural to pursue an artistic career. Sarah completed a foundation course at Harrogate College of Art where she studied a range of subjects, including photography, sculpture and graphics. During this time she maintained a lifelong interest in simple drawing, and always enjoyed the life class most.

Doug Hyde

Doug Hyde is well known for recently being named as the UK's best selling artist, and has often been featured on the BBC news- both national and local. He has also appeared on channel 4 and various radio shows and won the title of 'The most popular living artist in the UK' from BBC National News.
Doug Hyde's art will almost certainly put a smile on your face, just from the affection you begin to feel for the subjects in his paintings.

Henderson Cisz

Henderson Cisz paints in a very characteristic fashion with soft tones and paints many images of cities in a beautifully mood stirring style. He always brings out the effect of weather on the appearance of the urban environment. Not only does this subtly affect the way the people in the painting are standing, but it affects the way the observer feels too.

Alexander Millar

Alexander Millar's prints are incredibly emotive, prompting touching memories of families and loved ones that have long since gone, powerfully mixing sadness and humour.
Inspired by his native town of Springside, and his adopted home of Newcastle, Alexander Millar's paintings depict the shambling shapes of the old "gadgies"; he would see these crumpled characters traveling to and from work, or slightly worse for wear coming back from the pub.

Caroline Shotton

Caroline Shotton's infectious sense of humour shines through her work, somehow managing to create paintings that do not resort to lampooning the classic works and icons of popular culture it inspires. Instead, Caroline draws on genuine affection for the subjects, and you can't help but enjoy the cheeky punning of Caroline Shotton's artwork.

Paul Kenton

As a teenager, Paul Kenton learnt to surf on the wild beaches of North Devon and as a keen surfer he has travelled the world realising inspiration for another passion; his art. Much like Henderson Cisz, he takes great inspiration from the sea and paints wonderfully perceptive urban landscapes.
He says: "My Cityscapes reflect the many moods of manmade landscapes; I find it exhilarating to express furious movement, artificial lights and the vibrancy of a busy City centre at night as well as the subtler moods of a misty dawn at the same venue."

With Inspirational new limited edition prints and original art from Pam Carter and some exciting and exclusive features from Lorenzo Quinn and James Blinkhorn, there will be something for everyone. Bright Lights, Big City

Neil Dawson, a graduate of London’s Central St Martin’s School of Art says that it was only after a career in banking and an extended period travelling that he finally returned to art: “I dusted off the palette and paints in an attempt to recapture some of the sights and feelings from my time abroad. I quickly realised how much I had missed creating art and have not looked back since.”

The unique style of these superb cityscapes capture the trademark symbols of life in the city perfectly, oozing energy and life through the hustle and bustle of the city.

Using photographic references Dawson likes to work fast and intuitively never staring at a blank canvas and finds the early stages of a painting the most exciting and creative with most of his ideas coming from what's around him- the city, its compositions and colours.

Neil Dawson's originals are reproduced as limited editions and are almost like for like of his original pieces. Two new editions of only 395 copies- usually canvas on board, have been created for a winter release in a smaller format of 12" x 14".

These fantastic editions portray the typical London night with it's shiny wet streets, glistening red buses and the headlights of black taxis in his distinctive and unique style.

For the first time ever these pieces are available in a mounted and framed version unlike his previous editions which have all been canvas on boards and in larger sizes.

A Day In The Life Of Henderson Cisz

Brazilian-born wanderer Henderson Cisz loves to travel the world and paint the drama and diversity of urban life. From New York to Paris, from London to Venice he has formed an intense and loving artistic relationship with these living breathing cities. Although he may have finally settled in London, Henderson’s nomadic past has left indelible imprints on his lifestyle, not to mention his artwork, as we can see by joining him for a few hours in the life of a truly cosmopolitan artist.

As early as 8am Henderson is already demonstrating the habits of a good New Yorker or Parisian, sitting back, legs crossed in a leisurely pose, enjoying a freshly ground coffee and a basket of croissants “en famille” in his local café. Then it’s off to school for the younger children and back to Henderson’s delightful mews studio for him and his eldest son, who is currently going in every day to watch and learn both his father’s painting techniques and the art of studio management.

Observing Henderson at work is an education in itself. A charming and unassuming man, softly spoken and with a gentle sense of humour, he transforms when he stands before his canvas. Working from the many hundreds of photographs he takes in each location, his style is surprisingly uninhibited and the studio wall is strewn with riotous splashes of paint that have flicked from his animated brush. The room itself is equally chaotic, with rolled canvases stacked against the wall, interspersed with family photos, sketches and works in progress. Yet out of this apparent confusion emerges artwork that is beautifully resonant of the city it represents.

When he is not travelling, Henderson tends to spend the majority of his day painting in his studio which occupies a lovely West London setting close to the Thames. He admits to a great fondness for the UK, and judging by the unstoppable success of his dazzling cityscapes, we are rather fond of him too.
