VAT stands for value added tax, which is charged on goods sold by The Enid Hutt Gallery within the European Union (EU). In accordance with the laws governing members of the European Union, The Enid Hutt Gallery is obliged to charge VAT on all orders delivered to destinations in member countries of the EU as below.

VAT refunds for overseas visitors to the UK

Information for travellers
If you are a visitor to the UK and normal place of residence is OUTSIDE the EU, you may be able to get a refund of the VAT paid on certain goods that you buy whilst shopping with the Enid Hutt Gallery - Please contact us to obtain the VAT refund form.

The goods must be exported from the EU by the last day of the third month following that in which they were purchased. Customs officials may ask to see evidence of your entitlement to use the scheme.

If the goods brought back into the EU at any time they must be declared to the Customs Authority in the Member State of importation unlesws they are within the duty or tax free baggage allowance of that Member State.

 

VAT For EU customers outside the UK

Customers outside the VAT territory of the EU will also be charged VAT which you can claim back from your local tax office.

 

Customers outside of the EU

Goods sold that are dispatched to addresses outside of the European Union may be subject to import duties and taxes that are levied once the package reaches your country. Any additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, you are considered the importer and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
