We are privileged at the Enid Hutt Gallery to be able to present some exquisite Andrew Stewart art. This is an artist who has had over 35 years of experience in the world of fine art. Initially being formally trained in drawing and painting, Andrew Stewart then went on to a postgraduate level studying the practice of easel painting conservation.

As well as having an extensive education in various aspects of art, Andrew Stewart also had a preternatural gift for painting, and this shows in the fact that he was granted several prestigious awards more or less straight out of the gate, such as the National Gallery Conservation Bursary and the Winston Churchill Fellowship.
Since then, Andrew has been internationally exhibited, with his work having travelled to places such as London, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Italy, Austria, USA, France, as well as Vienna, Seoul, Bogota, Manchester and Caracas. His art can not only be found on the canvas, but also on Cambridge University book covers for figures such as Stephen Hawkins and Carl Sagan.
Rich Painterly Evocations
Andrew Stewart’s art is deep and rich, offering a powerful visual treat that is classically painterly in its style. With pigment splashed, drawn and poured, he is able to create an almost rhythmic and undoubtedly physical layering of texture and colour. His art is both knowing and enigmatic, presenting the viewer with a means of entering a meditative journey.
