We are delighted to showcase the appealing and collectable artwork of this popular British artist. Each piece is worthy of exploration and would certainly grace any home.
Born in the West Midlands, Charlie Butler travelled extensively as a teenager. Her mother took her to the galleries of Paris where she was exposed to a wealth of artistic inspiration. She immediately fell in love with the work of the great Impressionists but later discovered Frida Khalo, Tamara De Lempicka, Georgia O’Keeffe, Mark Rothko and Amedeo Modigliani.
Showing early promise, Charlie was offered a place at Bourneville College of Art at the age of 18, where she completed her Foundation studies in Art and Design. Her BA (hons) in Fine Art was disrupted by serious illness which Charlie was able to overcome.
Charlie fulfilled her very first independent commissions in 2000, giving her hope that she could realise her dream of becoming a fulltime artist. Five years later she her dream came true! Working for a leading publishing house she created over 200 mixed media pieces which were sold worldwide. She continues to undertake commissions and her work remains hugely popular with collectors. Now principally inspired by the Art Deco style, she produces striking works in a variety of media.
We hope you'll enjoy this selection of Charlie Butler art and be delighted with an addition of an original framed piece in your collection.
