Following studies at Stourbridge College of Art and Wrexham College of Art, Gary Benfield turned his hand to professional freelance illustrator in the mid-eighties. He set up his own London based studio, concentrating on figurative work. Benfield's popularity grew, with collectors interest budding across Europe.
