John Milan was born in Bellflower, California but was brought up in Hawaii, where indeed he met his wife and artistic collaborator Elli. About John Milan
He has been a committed student and practitioner of art since childhood and was formally trained in painting and drawing at the Savannah College of Art and Design, before he then completed his studies at the University of Georgia. John Milan's art is always a vivid living essence of his own personality and of that which has inspired him to take to the canvas.John Milan has had much success and has exhibited his work in many galleries across Europe and the US. Furthermore, he has been commissioned to do murals by many nightclubs and businesses in Honolulu, Miami, and Athens.
A Family of Artists
John and Elli currently live in Arizona with their four childrens and the couple collaborate on their artworks together. As well established artist they inhabit a wholly creative and mutually symbiotic environment with their children who are also already accomplished painters.
