The Enid Hutt Gallery is happy to be able to present some beautiful Louise Dear prints. With her early years spent in South Africa and the Far East, Louise Dear then at the age of 6 moved with her family to rural Hampshire. She had an interest first in fashion design, but since 1998 when she graduated from University College Chichester she has worked as a professional artist.
Passionate about colour, Louise Dear's work always seems to carry with it a vibrant and almost shocking intensity. This much can be seen in the glorious print available here, a stunning explosion of energy and texture, with flowers swirling into the pattern surrounding an arresting image of a face, itself full of emotion.
Invading our senses and influencing our emotions, Louise Dear seeks always to present moments that retain a certain amount of purity, innocence and youthful spirit. At the same time though, Louise maximises the sensuality of the subject, figuratively exploring the organic flow of the body and portraying an electric inner passion, which seems to bubble up from each figure she creates.
Louise certainly has an urgent need to create and an enduring, rewarding love for painting. We are lucky to be able to have some of some stunning Louise Dear prints here at the gallery - with some signed limited editions available too.
