Thank You and Happy New Year!

We here at the Enid Hutt Gallery would like to thank all our customers and visitors for supporting us through what has been a fantastic year and certainly a tough year of economic uncertainty for us all. We mainly focused on the website through 2008 with some fantastic new features and new artwork made available to you from both our more popular and up and coming artists.

The gallery itself has been amazing with some of our most daring framing requests this year and the pure volume of work and custom throughout has surpassed all our expectations. Thank you for making it possible!

The coming year looks exciting with new developments both in store and on-line with some fantastic new artwork from our current artists and new artists we will be representing with some of the most fabulous new metal wall art and mirrors which will be available shortly after February time, new posts will be added with the details.

Just In Time for Christmas

We are delighted to launch a brand new range of cufflinks from three of our top selling artists.
These unique silver enamelled cufflinks perfectly compliment pictures from some of your favourite artists and provide the perfect gift in this busy period running up to Christmas. They also make a great little add on to any piece you may be buying by the three artists; Caroline Shotton, Peter Smith and Sarah Graham.
Due to the limited availability of the cufflinks and the sell out success received from previous releases, we expect them to sell out incredibly quickly so please be quick to avoid disappointment.
They are priced at £35.00 each and come in a lovely black box with the artists signature embossed in silver on top.

Bright Lights, Big City

Neil Dawson, a graduate of London’s Central St Martin’s School of Art says that it was only after a career in banking and an extended period travelling that he finally returned to art: “I dusted off the palette and paints in an attempt to recapture some of the sights and feelings from my time abroad. I quickly realised how much I had missed creating art and have not looked back since.”

The unique style of these superb cityscapes capture the trademark symbols of life in the city perfectly, oozing energy and life through the hustle and bustle of the city.

Using photographic references Dawson likes to work fast and intuitively never staring at a blank canvas and finds the early stages of a painting the most exciting and creative with most of his ideas coming from what’s around him- the city, its compositions and colours.

Neil Dawson’s originals are reproduced as limited editions and are almost like for like of his original pieces. Two new editions of only 395 copies- usually canvas on board, have been created for a winter release in a smaller format of 12″ x 14″.

These fantastic editions portray the typical London night with it’s shiny wet streets, glistening red buses and the headlights of black taxis in his distinctive and unique style.

For the first time ever these pieces are available in a mounted and framed version unlike his previous editions which have all been canvas on boards and in larger sizes.

Another Classic Bovine Release for Winter

Caroline Shotton has graced us with another fantastic release for winter. Two new images produced as boxed canvas with careful hand embellishment and varnishing, these pieces emulate her original paintings beautifully. Limited to editions of only 195 copies each, these boxed canvasses are sure to be a huge hit.

‘Under the Mooonlight’ has fantastic depth especially with the embellishment used which Caroline loves experimenting with, specifically organic wheat.

‘Falling in Love with Moo’ is another fabulous canvas which again has been carefully hand embellished but this time with heart shaped jewels. I particularly love the way these catch the light and sparkle with any movement and change of light.
