A Life-long Passion for Art
Alfred Allan was born in Belfast in 1944 but now lives in Fife, Scotland, where he has been based since his move in 1957. Art has always been a central passion of his life, and he explored his creativity throughout his earlier years in paintings and sketches. A self-taught artist, Alfred's mastery of his craft has built up over the years. He has developed a deeply accomplished style which is all his own.
Natural Landscapes of Scotland
As well as having a passion for art itself, it is his passion for the surrounding landscapes and seascapes which inform his creativity. The east coast of Fife, as well as the Perthshire countryside, offers him a rich and rewarding subject. He loves these natural landscapes, and so they work their way effortlessly into his art. This warmth and love for the natural views around him shines through in his artwork, which affirms the joys and the pleasure of the great outdoors.
Beautiful Landscapes & Seascapes
Alfred Allan originals and artworks are often in galleries all across Scotland, but he has also had one man exhibitions. On top of that, his commission work has found itself to just about all corners of the globe. There is something about the classic beauty of his paintings that makes them extremely calming. This peaceful energy is one that stems from the natural world which inspires Alfred. But his skill of capturing this charm and transposing it onto canvas is what makes his work particularly special.
