About Veronica Ballan
Veronica has had a life long passion for art. Indeed, it runs in the family, as Veronica's father was an artist. It was whilst spending time in her father's studio as a child that Veronica got her first taste of the joys of art. She carried this passion through into her formal studies, as she gained experience at Newcastle College of Art and Sunderland College of Art, before going on to earn a degree in fine art and going onto postgraduate level at Newcastle University. She has also spent time helping others cultivate their own creative passions, as she has worked as an art teacher whilst developing her own professional career as a sculptor.
Animal Themed Sculptures
As well as having a deep passion for art, Veronica has also loved animals for her whole life. This love very much comes out in her artwork. Animals are frequently the subject of her sculpted collections. From donkeys and foals, to highland cows, bulls and calves, to sheeps, rams and lambs to name a few.
