Ewa Czarniecka is a talented and well respected artist who moved to London from Poland in 2002 and has since had much success, winning awards and having her work published in May Fine Art Prints, Buckingham Fine Art Publishers and Artko Prints. She has had many group and solo exhibitions over the years, including at the Annual Exhibition Society of Women Artists, Mall Gallery London and Saatchi Gallery Finalist Exhibition. Her work is uplifting and optimistic and we love the mood that it creates when you gaze into one of her colourful scenes.

A Lifelong Passion for Art
Ewa was born in the Polish village of Krasiczyn. She developed a passion for art from the age of around 13 and by the time she was deciding what she would do at university, there was only one real choice. Ewa however found that her time studying art at university in Poland, although useful for technical development, was not inspiring creatively. A shy and introverted person even now, the environment of the university with its confident budding artists was not nurturing in the way that she would have liked it to be. It was in fact when she moved to London with her husband that her artistic development really kicked into gear, as she started painting everyday and selling her work on Bayswater Road. Her clear talent for delicate balances of light and colour soon caught many eyes, and it was not long before she was gaining attention from art magazines, critics and galleries.
Rich Colourful Artwork
Whether the painting takes inspiration from a wet city scene, an autumnal forest, a cloudy coastline or an evening walk, Ewa Czarniecka's artwork is always able to make the landscape or cityscape come alive. There is a great emphasis on light and colour, but this is always perfectly balanced with use of shadows. Her work seems to have a celebratory mood; it is the kind of artwork which at once energises you and gives you a feeling of great calm. Ewa has since moved from London and now lives with her husband and their three cats in the Brecon Beacons in South Wales. Perhaps it is the calm and peace of these beautiful surroundings which informs the similar mood of her work.

A master of using oil on canvas, manipulated with a knife and brush, Ewa is able to create a rich depth of colour which draws you into the world of each scene she depicts.
