Craig Davison
"Ideas come from everything and anything. Everywhere I look images and ideas are lining up to be used. I stockpile these inside my head where they fight to be used. Once I start one painting, I'm already planning the next."

Nostalgic Artwork
One of the first things you notice from our Craig Davison prints is that there is a real sense of nostalgia. These are boys and girls that could easily be ourselves on the playground, running, play fighting and pretending to be our heroes. These paintings aren't overly sentimental, but truly charming, and an incredible reminder of what it means to be young.
Capturing Childhood Imagination
The archetypal superhero, Batman, is a favourite element of Davison's work. In the background, the shadow of Batman stands tall, the inspiration for the hijinks of these plucky kids. The children in the foreground are acting out the exploits of their favourite comic book hero. It's easy to be enthralled by these fantastic pieces, as we looking into the fascinating world of childhood that sometimes seems closed to us.
Star Wars Playground Games
Star Wars is another great element to Craig Davidson's artwork as he depicts the playground games where children would become Chewy, Han Solo, Skywalker and Leia as they battle Darth Vader during break time. Capturing how brilliant our imagination can be at that age in his expressive sketches and prints. Even the titles have the exclamation of the playground within them such as "5 Vaders!... Right we're having 5 Lukes!" and "Blast em Chewy!". Great artworks for lovers of nostalgia or Star Wars fans.
