Dan Crisp was born in the East Riding of Yorkshire and still lives in the county with his family. He studied Fine Art and Illustration in Sheffield and has enjoyed and extremely successful career as an illustrator, painter and writer.

Crisp has illustrated more than 70 books and written several popular children's books including The Ants Go Marching By, Five Little Men in a Flying Saucer and Santa's Missing Reindeer. He has worked with many of the UK's leading publishers and clients across the world.
