Vanessa Cooper
Born in Hampshire and still a resident of the county, Vanessa Cooper began painting in her early teens. She went on to study at Portsmouth University and first exhibited her artwork in 1987. Since then her reputation has grown rapidly as art enthusiasts and collectors have discovered her unique and endearing style.

Vanessa works principally in oils but she also creates pieces in a variety of other mediums including gouache. She both paints and sculpts and takes her inspiration from nature and everyday life. Many of her subjects are inspired by pets, gardens, children and the local forests. Birds and animals are recurring themes. She is clearly an imaginative artist with a deep love of colour and with the ability to infuse her work with humour.
We are sure that you will enjoy the fine collection of limited edition Vanessa Cooper art prints which we are showcasing at the Enid Hutt Gallery. Vanessas love of life shines through in her colourful and quirky images. Each piece is charming and joyous in equal measure and there is great appeal in her naïve, almost childlike style.
Vanessas artwork is much celebrated and has been exhibited throughout the country. Her images have been featured in national publications and if you think her style is familiar then you may have seen her work featured on greetings cards by Medici, Camden Graphics and Woodmansterne. However, her fabulous compositions are best viewed when hanging on your wall!
