Jaanika Talts
We have some striking Jaanika Talts prints available as signed limited editions which show why she is an artist much loved across the world. Her artwork has made a home in countries such as Sweden, Norway, Australia, Germany, USA, UK, UAE, Canada, Spain, New Zealand and beyond. Jaanika Talts for many years had a passion for drawing and painting, but it was only in adulthood when she began to see painting as a secret and utterly pleasurable language, a therapeutic practice which was as rewarding as anything else in the world. It is her deep feel for colour, as well as her emotional connection to the natural world, that makes her floral yet abstract artwork so special.

Evocative Paintings of Nature
It should be of no surprise that the natural world has played a big part in the development of Jaanika Talts as an artist. She has always lived near coastlines and, whether or not the sea is an explicit part of all her paintings, her artwork flows from a deep passion and engagement with the power and the wonder of nature. Born in Estonia, Jaanika then moved further north to Sweden, before eventually settling in Dublin. Today, much of her work is inspired by Dublin Bay.
Abstract Art
Although Jaanika Talts' paintings often grow from specific natural landscape and seascapes, her work always offers an abstract and at times surreal twist on this source material. In particular, the contrasts of colour she sets together in bold strokes serves as her visual language. These vivid, bold colours shine out from enchanting sweeps and washes, so that the surreal world portrayed gets to the heart of that indescribable beauty of sunlight as it highlights different parts of a landscape or seascape through the day.
