Hailing from Larne in Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland, Gregory Moore now lives in Glasgow where he works as a full-time artist. He was interested in drawing and painting as a child and went on to study at the Belfast College of Art from where he graduated with a B.A. Hons Degree in Fine Art Printmaking. He then enjoyed a successful career as a Graphic Designer before moving on to teach watercolour, acrylic and pastel painting in higher education.
Gregory Moore is a member of the Pastel Society of Ireland and has exhibited in many galleries. He has illustrated several books including A Guide to Irish Wild Flowers and his paintings featured in a series of bird posters produced by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB).
Now working mainly in acrylics and pastels, Greg is inspired by rural life, beautiful landscapes and wildlife. There’s a nostalgic feel about his rural scenes and his wildlife studies are notable for their vibrant colours and striking use of light.
At the Enid Hutt Gallery, we are pleased to showcase Greg’s original pastel on paper works. Each piece would represent an excellent investment and demonstrates this highly regarded artist’s unique talent.
